Labmembers

Here are the members of the Albery Lab, in temporal order of joining!

Marin Bussi

Marin started as a PhD student in 2026. Originally from Germany via the Netherlands, he is a wildlife epidemiologist with with a background in public health, veterinary epidemiology, and spatial modelling. His PhD investigates badger population dynamics and bovine tuberculosis in Ireland, combining field data with spatial and population modelling to inform wildlife management.

Seán O’Regan

Seán joined the lab as a Research Assistant in 2026, after completing his MSc in Immunology at Trinity. His MSc research with the lab investigated the genetic and proteomic basis of badger susceptibility to bovine tuberculosis. He is now continuing this work, using comparative genomics and bioinformatics to understand the evolution of badger immunity and its role in tuberculosis ecology.
